The CAM operator performs the preparation of CAM files for the manufacturing of overdenture bars, according to standards strategies, which are milled on high precision 5-axis CNC machines. Moreover, he/she supervises and coaches a team of 5 to 8 CAM operators. This includes training and regular reviews as well as the responsibility for coordinating staffing and production planning together with the production manager.
Redesign and process the CAD into a CAM files for overdenture bars to have them producible on the Mikron 5-axis milling machines
Support the milling operations for OD-bar products on 5-axis milling machines by constant communication with operators and QC on quality issues and transfer the gained information into the CAM file preparation
Support milling operators to verify accuracy of machine.
Develop and improve working instructions for the CAM file preparation settings and to detect malfunctions
Support milling operator for any trouble with pieces accuracy found on the CMM measurement check, and correct or reject the product
Work in teams with shop floor colleagues and management to solve NobelProcera manufacturing problems on-site
Communicate with colleagues in the other NobelProcera plants to regularly exchange information to improve bar design procedures
Works together with CAD/CAM developers of the Procera R&D department supporting development and improvement projects with practical experience and supports implementation on-site
Handles management of the CAM operator team like production planning, staffing, recruiting, training and frequent reviews
High School Diploma or equivalency
Preferably a technical degree in CNC machining or CAD/CAM
Experience in a common CAD software (e.g. SolidWork, Think3) and CAM software (Open mind, Delcam), preferably for 5-axis milling machines
Minimum five or more years CAD/CAM support experience, preferably in support of milling machines controlled by Heidenhain/ Fanuc
Knowledge and experience with Cmm (Zeiss) a plus Knowledge of OpenMind projects preferred
Knowledge in CAD/CAM work in dental restoration
Capable of PC-standard software (MS-Office), Basic knowledge of SAP a plus
Prefer experience in high precision production using 5-axis milling machinery
Experience in supervising a team and proven leadership capabilities
Good analytical and communication skills, but practitioner when it requires actions to solve problems
Must be fluent in English
Must be willing to work overtime depending on business demands
Must be available for limited international travel depending on business demands
