Significant accounting policies

Basis of preparation

The consolidated financial statements of Nobel Biocare are prepared in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRSs) and comply with Swiss law.

They are based on the financial statements of the individual Nobel Biocare Companies using consistent accounting policies. The consolidated financial statements are prepared on a historical cost basis except that derivative financial instruments and financial assets and liabilities are stated at their fair value.
