Shohei Kasugai

Prof. Shohei Kasugai is professor, department of Oral Implantology and Regenerative Dental Medicine, and a director, Dental Implant Clinic, TMDU. His research concerns developing biocompatible implant and bone regeneration. He has received awards from the International Association for Dental Research, the Pharmaco-Kinetics Society, and the Academy of Osseointegration. He is a board member of the Japanese Academy of Maxillofacial Implant, committee member of the Japanese Society of Oral Implantology, and active with AO and EAO.

Patrick Henry

Dr. Patrick Henry is a specialist prosthodontist in Perth, Western Australia. In 1982, he established the Perth Osseointegration Training Centre that focused on the research and development of the Brånemark Implant System. He holds professorial and research fellowship appointments at several universities. He is a fellow of the Academy of Osseointegration and recipient of Distinguished Lecturer Awards from the Greater New York Academy of Dentistry in 1998 and American College of Prosthodontics in 1999. His current research interests include implant surface technology and the immune response, applications of Immediate Loading, and involvement in international collaborative prospective multi-center clinical trials. He is a member of several editorial boards of dental journals, a contributor to seven textbooks and an author or co-author of over 100 publications.

Ryuji Hosokawa

Dr. Ryuji Hosokawa attended the Faculty of Dentistry of Kyushu Dental College where he received his DDS in 1986. He entered the Graduate School of Kyushu Dental College in the Department of Graduate Course of Dentistry. He worked as a fellow in the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science and received the DMD from the Graduate School of Kyushu Dental College in 1990. Later, he worked as a researcher in the Department of Dentistry at Harvard University in the United States, and as an assistant professor in the First Department of Prosthodontics of the Faculty of Dentistry in Hiroshima University in Japan. He is presently the professor in the Medical Rehabilitation for Oral and Maxillofacial Regeneration in the Faculty of Dentistry at Kyushu Dental College. Dr. Hosokawa is a member of the Japan Prosthodontic society.

Hsein-Kun Lu

Dr. Hsein-Kun Lu attended the Taipei Medical University School of Dentistry where he received his B.D.S. He received his Master of Science in Periodontics in North Western University since 1985–1987. He joined the present faculty in 1987 and is currently Professor at the College of Oral Medicine, Taipei Medical University, Taiwan. He was the Dean of the School of Dentistry since 1996–2002 and was the President of the Academy of Periodontology of Taiwan since 1999–2001. Dr. Lu has authored over 48 peer reviewed journal articles and book chapters in areas of guided tissue regeneration, clinical periodontology, and clinical implantology.

Edmond Pow

Dr. Edmond Pow is an Associate Professor and the Postgraduate Programme Director in Oral Rehabilitation of the Faculty of Dentistry, the University of Hong Kong. He is also the Deputy Director of MDS/MSc (Implant Dentistry) programmes. As a registered specialist in Prosthodontics in Hong Kong, Dr. Pow has been actively working in implant prosthodontics for over 15 years. He has developed and published many clinical techniques in implant prosthodontics in the International Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Implants, Journal of Prosthetic Dentistry, Implant Dentistry, and Quintessence International. He is currently a Council Member of the College of Dental Surgeons of Hong Kong. He serves on the Specialty Board in Prosthodontics of the HK College as well as the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons. Dr. Pow is the Chief Examiner in Prosthodontics of the Hong Kong Dental Council Licensing Examination. He was also a Specialty Advisor of the Hong Kong Dental Association and the Vice-president of the Hong Kong Prosthetic Dentistry Society.

Wang Xing

Prof. Wang Xing is currently Professor of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery of the Peking University School of Stomatology, President of the Chinese Stomatological Association and Vice President of the Chinese Medical Doctor Association (CMDA). He made great achievements in clinical and basic research in the fi eld of orthographic surgery and oral implantology. He has published over 188 articles in national and international journals. He was the chief editor of three books as well as associate editor of 22 books.

Masao Yamazaki

Dr. Masao Yamazaki received his DDS degree from Tokyo Dental College in 1970. He is the Founder and current Director of the Society of Japan Clinical Dentistry. Dr. Yamazaki is the author of The Esthetic Restorative Treatment – The Management For The Complex Prosthesis – Quintessence Publishing Co. Dr. Yamazaki maintains a full-time private practice in Tokyo focusing on esthetic restorative dentistry and Implant dentistry.
